You will be the first point of contact for new and existing shippers, turning enquiries into booked shipments. Working closely with our operations team and carrier partners, you will learn the freight business from quote to delivery and build a portfolio of accounts of your own.
What You Will Do
- Prospect and qualify new shippers, importers and vehicle dealers in Singapore and across the region.
- Prepare quotations for sea freight (FCL, LCL and roll-on roll-off), air freight, customs clearance and trucking, working with operations and carriers on rates.
- Respond to enquiries quickly and follow up until quotes become confirmed bookings.
- Look after a portfolio of accounts, with regular check-ins, shipment updates and fast resolution of issues with operations.
- Keep the CRM up to date with leads, quotations and outcomes.
- Represent Regent Express at customer meetings, site visits and industry events.
What You Bring
- Diploma or degree in any discipline; logistics, business or supply chain preferred.
- Up to 7 years of experience in sales, customer service or logistics. Fresh graduates with strong drive are welcome.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms and common freight documents.
- Experience populating and maintaining CRMs.
- Collaborative and a self-starter.
- Clear written and spoken English. Mandarin or another regional language is an advantage.
- Organised, responsive and comfortable working with numbers.
Good To Have
- An existing network of shippers, importers or vehicle dealers in Singapore or the region.
- Experience selling vehicle shipping, roll-on roll-off or project cargo.
- Familiarity with Singapore customs procedures and TradeNet permit declarations.
